The “Complejo penitenciario de la CABA”, better known as “Devoto's prison”, represents the last prison that continues to be found in the Capital Federal in Buenos Aires, within a neighborhood where two realities coexist: one consisting of a well-off class, which is at one extreme of the neighborhood and in the other one, a neighborhood that seems to be "stopped" in time, around the jail. One block away from there, is where the director grew up.
“All the stone-throwers begin to run” is a documentary that seeks to explore class biases and prejudices, gentrification in the global south, and to question the effectiveness of the prison system, opening up some questions: What makes the identity of a neighborhood, a city, a country? And what makes the identity of a person? Is the place where we grew up a key pillar of our growth?
