/ VANDA DUARTE: FESTIVAL OF WOMEN AND DISSIDENTS.

"VANDA DUARTE: Women and dissidents" is a free festival that serves as a platform for the work of cis and trans women.

The first edition took place online from March 29th to April 04th (2020) during the COVID-19 pandemic. Every day, a new short and feature film was exhibited for free on our website. Some of them were: "Zama", by Lucrecia Martel, "De jueves a domingo", by Dominga Sotomayor and never-seen-before work by Athina Rachel Tsangari.

As female independent filmmakers, one of our biggest goals is to make films be seen and shared to everyone. To make films accesible for everyone is something that we hope to achieve with our work.
